Usage Policy

The rules for using Kira responsibly. This policy applies to everyone who uses Kira, including its AI agents, automations, and integrations.

Effective June 1, 2026Last updated June 2026

Who this applies to

This Usage Policy applies to all users of Kira and to all of its features, including the Email Agent, AI Call Agents, Voice Command, Vibe Coder, Smart Calendar, WhatsApp/Telegram Connect, the API Integrations Hub, and your workspace. It applies whether you use Kira directly, through an API, or through a connected messaging channel.

You are responsible for the activity that takes place under your account and for the outputs your agents and automations produce. By using Kira you agree to follow this policy and all applicable laws.

Prohibited uses

You may not use Kira, or allow anyone using your account to use Kira, to do any of the following:

  • Endanger the safety of children, including by producing, soliciting, or distributing child sexual abuse material or content that sexualizes minors.
  • Create, obtain, or facilitate access to weapons, controlled substances, or other highly regulated or illegal goods and services.
  • Compromise critical infrastructure, develop malware, or carry out unauthorized intrusion, denial-of-service, or other cyberattacks.
  • Violate the privacy or rights of others, including by harvesting personal data without a lawful basis, conducting unlawful surveillance, or impersonating a person or organization.
  • Generate or spread disinformation, fraudulent content, or deceptive schemes such as phishing, scams, or fake reviews.
  • Produce content that harasses, defames, or incites violence or hatred against people based on protected characteristics.
  • Send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or automated communications that violate anti-spam, telemarketing, or consumer-protection laws.
  • Engage in fraud, money laundering, or other criminal financial activity.
  • Build systems that make high-stakes decisions about people without meaningful human review (see below).

High-risk use cases

Some uses are permitted only with appropriate safeguards because of the impact they can have on people. If you use Kira in areas such as legal, financial, employment, healthcare, insurance, housing, or education decisions, you must:

  1. Keep a qualified human in the loop who reviews and is accountable for consequential decisions.
  2. Clearly disclose to affected people that they are interacting with an AI system.
  3. Avoid presenting AI output as professional advice unless a licensed professional has reviewed it.

Agents, calls, and automated outreach

Kira lets you run agents that send email, place calls, and message people on connected channels. When you use these features you must:

  • Have a lawful basis and any required consent to contact each recipient.
  • Disclose that the call or message is generated or assisted by AI where required by law.
  • Honor opt-out and do-not-contact requests promptly.
  • Not use AI voices to impersonate real people or to deceive recipients about who they are dealing with.

Enforcement

If we believe you have violated this policy, we may take action proportionate to the violation, including issuing a warning, limiting or suspending features, or terminating your account. Serious violations, such as those endangering children or public safety, may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Reporting violations

If you become aware of a use of Kira that violates this policy, please report it to abuse@kira.ai. We review every report and take action where appropriate.
